Our Story

Pedal Pals started in 2024 with a campfire, a few cold ones, and a simple truth: guys need real community.

As a part-time psychology instructor, veteran, and full-time public servant, I’ve seen firsthand how rarely men’s mental health gets talked about, and how much it matters.

Science and research is clear; weak social connections raise men’s risk of early death. The connections men do have, often fade and disappear after retirement, divorce, relocation, or just the grind of everyday life.

We decided to fight that the only way that felt natural…being outdoors.

At Pedal Pals, we build connections the way men actually connect, being outside. Whether it’s mountain biking, fly fishing, shredding trails, wading rivers, and cracking cold ones afterward. We connect with each other out in nature. No memberships. No dues. No pressure. Just the knowledge that there’s a solid group of guys out there and you have a pal if you ever need one.

In short our antidote to fight early death? Shredding trails and honest conversations at the bar after. Turns out, a great ride has a way of opening people up more than it does in a fluorescent-lit meeting room.

We're not a club.

We're just a bunch of guys who love shredding trails, wading rivers, cracking cold ones, and making sure nobody rides solo, or drinks solo! We are dads and friends who want to make sure we leave an example for our kids: mental health matters, friendship matters, and the best memories are the ones made outside with people who show up.
